Value Added Tax (VAT) is expected to be introduced in the six countries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, which form the Gulf Cooperation Council, by January 1, 2018. GCC UAVAT (Unified Agreement on Value Added Tax) is aimed at ensuring that VAT is introduced in the GCC, in a unified fashion.
