Aslam Khan is the Chairman and Managing Director of Octaware Technologies. He is an experienced technologist, visionary entrepreneur, and result-oriented business leader with a proven track record of leading strategy development and execution, to deliver rapid growth and scalable sustained profitability.
Driven by his passion for entrepreneurship, he is a staunch believer in the idea of economic and social development through entrepreneurship. Aslam has carried this belief into his vision for Octaware – “To serve, add value and create growth for individuals, businesses and social entities.”
Before the inception of Octaware in 2005, he was the Director of AskMe Corporation – Seattle, where he established AskMe’s wholly-owned subsidiary in India, which was later acquired by RealCom Software Inc, Japan. Before AskMe, he worked at Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, USA, as a lead developer on the Windows 2000 family of products. Earlier on, he worked at Citibank N.A, Japan, and developing software for financial trading platform.
A self-taught serial entrepreneur and socially responsible investor, he has strived towards establishing numerous healthcare businesses, including a multi-specialty hospital and a rehabilitation center in India. His philanthropic contributions are channeled through the RIDA Foundation, a BSE-Sammaan CSR Exchange-listed Charitable Trust he has created along with a group of academic, medical, and corporate professionals to improve the quality of life of the needy through meaningful education and medical assistance. He is also leading an initiative to promote entrepreneurship and innovation through a business incubator and accelerator facility for start-ups. He was instrumental in conceptualizing and building a QA Lab for the National Association of Blind (Employment & Training) to generate employment opportunities for the Visually Challenged in the IT industry. He has addressed various student forums to acquaint them with the opportunities available in the software industry in terms of employment and entrepreneurship.
Aslam holds a bachelors’s degree in Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a master’s degree in Research from Lancaster University, UK. He has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and has secured executive education at Harvard Business School, MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Said Business School of Oxford University, and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
He is a member of the advisory boards of several organizations that operate in the space of information technology and healthcare. He also serves as a member of the Steering Committee of NASSCOM Foundation’s Business Responsibility Forum. Further, he is a member of the NASSCOM Regional Council – West.
Aslam’s brain-child, Octaware Technologies Limited, was listed on the BSE –SME platform on April 5, 2017, and Transpact Enterprises Limited, made a landmark beginning of becoming the 1st Start-up listed at BSE Start-ups platform on September 5, 2019. The listing of Transpact at the BSE made it his 3rd listing in 3 consecutive years.

Sajid distinguishes himself in building and sustaining strong customer loyalties and has helped expand Octaware presence in various geographies of Qatar, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and UAE. He has an excellent track record of aggressively building, developing and executing strategic vision for business growth. His core strength lies in creating and managing globally distributed engineering & marketing teams and develop best practices across line of business.
Sajid uses his diversified range of technology engineering, marketing, sales and management experience to oversee Octaware global business operations. He has to his credit, growing the Microsoft based business quickly to INR 300 Million account working with fortune 500 companies. During his nearly 25+ year distinguished career, Sajid has worked extensively with established companies, high-growth organizations and Fortune 500 accounts around the globe, successfully building strategic sales and product divisions, and leading international expansions.
Sajid is a managed risk taker, who believes in going to the fullest and finest level of details to grow the Octaware globally. ‘The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure’ and Sajid believes in this to the core. He is never afraid of failure and this is the reason that he has always been able to achieve success in whatever endeavour he has undertaken. With a strong presence and a towering personality he has always been Octaware’s pillar of strength.
As he likes to put it, “To be successful, you have to have your heart in your business, and your business in your heart”. Sajid is a voracious reader and likes to keep himself abreast of the latest happenings in the field of technology.
Sajid holds Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai and Master of Business Administration Finance from SMU. He has also completed the Executive Education program in Customer Management from Carnegie Mellon University, USA.
Whole Time Director
Siraj leads and manages engineering divisions at Octaware. He has extensive experience in solution design, product development and enterprise delivery across multiple verticals. He is a technology specialist with over 25 years of experience in information technology industry working for leading financial and government organizations such as Commercial bank, GIS Centre of excellence in Qatar and Department of Science & Technology, India.
He was instrumental in expanding Octaware operations in Middle East and making inroads into various government and private sector conglomerates in the region. With his vast expertise and experience in diverse technologies, Siraj has been able to expand Octaware service offerings across multiple domains. He leads the research and innovation center at Octaware and has initiated the mobility and GIS service practices which augment Octaware overall strength in enterprise delivery.
Prior to joining Octaware, Siraj founded CodeNTest Technologies, a leading IT consulting, training and software development company in Pune. He leads and manages the Global development facilities in India using his extensive experience in solution design, product development and IT services industries.
Siraj is an avid reader and passionate on technology innovations and has delivered keynote addresses on various topics. He firmly believes that hard work is the key to success and that there is no substitute for hard work. As he likes to put it, “If the power to do hard work is not a skill, it’s the best possible substitute for it.” Siraj holds BS from the Karnataka University, India.
Mr. Krishnan Narayanan is the Non-Executive Independent Director of Octaware. He is Proven technology Leader with 25+ years of financial technology experience across Asia Pacific, leading and delivering complex IT systems and technology outsourcing for multi-nationals. Krish has worked as Managing Director of UBS, Director in Prudential Corporation Asia, and as a Vice President at Citibank.
Krish has extensive qualifications in all aspects of the Information Technology life cycle with exposure to business domains of retail and commercial banking, investment banking, insurance, asset and wealth management.
In his most recent corporate role at UBS, Krishnan Narayanan was the Head of IT (CIO), Singapore and APAC emerging markets covering WM and Equities Production, with oversight of 100+ resources regionally ($12m+ budget) and 2000 resources in the Singapore global Hub. Krish also held the Global vendor management responsibility for all of IT services ($900m+ p.a.), initially for IB and then for all of the group IT functions, during this 7 years tenure. Krish executed multi-million dollar projects to horizontalise level-1 production support ($50m over 3yrs) across the divisions, did a portfolio outsourcing of all legacy applications to 2 large vendors ($300m over 5yrs), created and managed outsourced delivery centers across Singapore, China, India and E. Europe and managed the regulatory relationship with MAS in Singapore.
He has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Annamalai University in the year 1988 and a Post-Graduation Diploma in Business Administration from the Annamalai University in the year 1989 and currently pursuing a Ph. D from the Singapore Management University.
He sits as Trust member in Ram Educational Charitable Trust which is running a Polytechnic College in South India.
Mrs. Usha Mishra, Founder & Managing Trustee of National Association for the Blind Employment & Training (NABET) India and a strong advocate for equal rights of handicap people and underprivileged women. She also is an external member of the Internal Complain Committee (ICC) of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA). She is an MBA along with Graduation in Science and Post-Graduation in PR & Journalism.
NABET is a registered NGO committed to provide employment to the visually impaired/ handicapped and weaker sections of the society. Providing employment to trained visually challenged people by providing training for developing IT/ITES skills. The Government of Haryana awarded NABET as “The Best NGO to Implement Govt Practices”. Also, The National University of Singapore & DBS Bank rated NABET as World’s Top 30 NGO’s.
In the last 30 years of social work and service to humanity, she has brought modern concepts & technology at workplace for the women and handicaps. Her unique experiment of creating an inclusive workplace has received accolades both in government and private sector. Her work has been a beacon of hope for the most under represented community in Indian society. Her efforts have won various recognitions, including the Washington DC’s ‘Global Good Fund’; London’s ‘Queen’s Young Leader’ award; Leonard Cheshire Award – for Largest Employer of Blind / Handicapped in Delhi NCR and University of Oklahoma – USA – Fellowship Award.
Non-Executive Independent Director
Dr. Rabia brings to the board rich financial expertise that includes extensive knowledge of the economics, financial and operational issues, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting rules and regulations. As chairperson of the Audit committee, Dr. Rabia, amongst others, is responsible for, providing significant insight into the preparation of financial statements and knowledge of audit procedures.
She nurtures a keen interest in designing and implementing policies and advocacy strategies about evaluation criteria of board, board diversity, governance, nomination and remuneration. Realizing the central role of communication and, because of her personal and particular interest in them, Dr. Rabia built skills in strategic communication and outreach, leading her to supervise stakeholders’ relationship committee. Dr Rabia’s special qualifications for serving on Octaware’s board of directors include extensive knowledge and expertise in financing, governance, communication, and blend of academic insights.
Dr. Rabia holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Aligarh Muslim University and developed research project in the area of econometrics and mathematical economics. Her major research focus is on studying structural adjustment program and food security in India. She has participated in several conferences sharing her learnings and knowledge. Dr Rabia is a passionate and absolutely loves teaching mathematics and science.
